Shell’s Integrated Gas and New Energies Director and a member of the Royal Dutch Shell Executive Committee, Maarten has worked in various roles since joining the company in 1995. He holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Groningen and a post doctorate degree from VU University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

Jose (Jay) Layug

Jose (Jay) Layug

A senior partner at Puno Law firm in the Philippines since 2013, Jose’s career includes being founder of the Developers of Renewable Energy for AdvanceMent, Inc. and serving as chairman of the National Renewable Energy Board from 2016-2018. He was also undersecretary of the Philippines Department of Energy from 2010-2012. Recently, Jose was appointed as Dean of the University of Makati?School of Law and Director of its Energy Centre.

Changhua Wu

Changhua Wu

China/Asia Director of the Office of Jeremy Rifkin, Changhua is a dedicated advisor to governments and corporations on sustainability strategy and innovation. Her achievements include founding TECONET, a start-up platform that focuses on global clean technologies. She also founded the Value Internet Academy, a platform which brings together young innovators, entrepreneurs and professionals to zoom in on some of China’s biggest challenges to a sustainable future.

Peter Godfrey

Peter Godfrey

Managing Director of the Energy Institute,?South-East Asia, based in Singapore, Peter also provides executive advisory services through his own company Merlenergy Pte Ltd. While he has spent most of his career in the oil and gas industry, Peter’s interests have extended into renewable and alternative energy development, as well addressing issues related to industry transition towards a lower-carbon, cleaner energy future and the Circular Economy.
